Our pub is thought to date back to the 16th century, and is believed to be the oldest operating pub in Poole. Our vibrant town pub remains traditional in both its look and feel, and you’ll be surrounded by charm and character.
We’re known locally for providing a classic pub menu and a fantastic Sunday Roast each week. We also serve award-winning Badger Beer from Dorset.

Nicky has been at The Kings Head for 14 years, and has 20 years of experience in pub management. Nicky's family can be seen regularly at The Kings Head - Pop in for a warm welcome and to meet Nicky and the team!

We are an absolutely dog friendly pub! We love to see you with your four legged friends and have a steady supply of dog biscuits, water bowls and treats on hand.
Our very own German shepherd Harley will usually be found behind the bar – she loves children, and always appreciates a fuss being made of her.
